MERE was created to generate stable community revenue and position M’Chigeeng as a leader in Indigenous renewable-energy development. The original project financing was fully repaid in October 2024, strengthening MERE’s position for future growth and financing.
MERE continues to explore long-term electricity-sale opportunities, partnerships and expansion as Ontario plans for rising power demand.
